Animotion Vinyl Records

Animotion was an American new wave and synthpop band that formed in Los Angeles, California in 1983. The original lineup consisted of Bill Wadhams (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Astrid Plane (vocals, keyboards, guitar), Charles Ottavio (drums), and Don Kirkpatrick (guitar, keyboards). They released their debut album, Animotion, in 1984, which contained the top 10 hit "Obsession" and the hit single "Let Him Go". The band had a few more hits in the 1980s, including "I Engineer" and "Room to Move".

Animotion's second album, Strange Behavior, was released in 1986 and contained the top 20 hit "Calling It Love". Their third and final album, Raise Your Expectations, was released in 1989 and contained the single "Room To Move".

Animotion's most successful album was Strange Behavior, which peaked at number 17 on the Billboard 200 and was certified platinum in the United States.

An interesting fact about Animotion is that their hit single "Obsession" was co-written by keyboardist and songwriter Holly Knight, who also co-wrote hits like "Love Is a Battlefield" by Pat Benatar and "The Best" by Tina Turner.
