Carpenters

Carpenters were an American pop music duo from Downey, California, consisting of siblings Karen and Richard Carpenter. They formed in 1969 and released their debut album, Offering, in 1970. The duo's biggest hits include "Close to You" (1970), "Top of the World" (1973), and "Yesterday Once More" (1973). The Carpenters' records have sold over 100 million copies worldwide and they are the third-best selling music group of all time.

Some of the Carpenters' standout albums include Close to You (1970), A Song for You (1972), Now & Then (1973), and Horizon (1975). Their most popular songs include "Close to You", "We've Only Just Begun", "Rainy Days and Mondays", "Top of the World", and "Yesterday Once More".

An interesting fact about the Carpenters is that they have earned eleven Grammy Award nominations, and have won three.
