City Boy Vinyl Records

City Boy were an English rock band that formed in Birmingham, England in 1975. The band's original lineup consisted of vocalist and guitarist Steve Broughton, guitarist Max Thomas, bassist Mike Slamer, and drummer Roger Kent. They released four albums during their career, including their 1977 debut Young Men Gone West, which featured the hit singles "5-7-0-5" and "Moontown". Their second album, 1979's Dinner at the Ritz, was their biggest success, spawning the hit single "The Day the Earth Caught Fire" and reaching number three in the UK Albums Chart.

The band's third album, 1980's Book Early, featured the single "Goodbye Suzie", which reached number 14 in the UK Singles Chart. The band released their final album, The Day the Earth Caught Fire, in 1981. It featured the singles "Modern Love Is Automatic" and "Let It Shine".

City Boy's music was a blend of progressive rock and hard rock, and the band was known for their technical proficiency and tight playing.

An interesting fact about City Boy is that they were one of the first bands to feature two lead guitarists.
