Debby Boone is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. She is best known for her 1977 hit single, “You Light Up My Life”, which became one of the biggest singles of all time, topping the Billboard Hot 100 for a record-breaking ten weeks.

Boone released her debut album, You Light Up My Life, in 1977, which peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 albums chart and featured the title track, as well as the singles “God Knows” and “Hallelujah”. Her follow-up album, Midstream, was released in 1978 and featured the singles “I’ll Never Have To Dream Again” and “We’re All Alone”. Her third album, Love Has No Reason, was released in 1980 and featured the single “My Heart Has A Mind Of Its Own”.
