Ghost Vinyl Records

Ghost is a Swedish heavy metal band that was formed in 2008 by vocalist and instrumentalist Tobias Forge. Ghost is known for their unique blend of doom metal, hard rock and heavy metal, as well as their theatrical live performances. Their debut album, Opus Eponymous, was released in 2010 and featured the single "Ritual". It was critically acclaimed and was followed by their second album Infestissumam in 2013. The album featured the singles "Year Zero" and "Secular Haze" and debuted at number one on the Swedish Albums Chart. Their third album Meliora was released in 2015 and featured the singles "Cirice", "From the Pinnacle to the Pit" and "Mummy Dust". The album won the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Metal Performance. Their fourth album Prequelle was released in 2018 and featured the singles "Rats", "Dance Macabre" and "Faith". The album was a commercial success, debuting at number three on the US Billboard 200. Ghost's most iconic song is arguably "Square Hammer" from their 2016 EP Popestar. The song was used in the 2017 film adaptation of Stephen King's IT and the 2019 film adaptation of the musical Cats. An interesting fact about Ghost is that vocalist Tobias Forge performs in costume as a character called Papa Emeritus. He has appeared in five different incarnations, with Papa Emeritus III and Papa Emeritus Zero being the most popular.
