Kim Wilde

Kim Wilde is an English pop singer-songwriter and musician who rose to fame in the 1980s. She is best known for her songs "Kids in America", "You Keep Me Hangin' On", and "Cambodia". Her career began in 1981 when her brother Ricky, a session musician and producer, wrote the song "Kids in America" for her.

Wilde's debut album, Kim Wilde, was released in 1981. It spawned the hit singles "Kids in America" and "Chequered Love" and was certified Platinum in the UK. Her follow-up album, Select, was released in 1982 and featured the hit single "Cambodia". Her third album, Catch as Catch Can, was released in 1983 and featured the Top 10 hit "Love Blonde".

Her fourth album, Teases & Dares, was released in 1984 and included the hit singles "The Second Time" and "Rage to Love". Her fifth album, Another Step, was released in 1986 and featured the hit singles "You Keep Me Hangin' On" and "Another Step (Closer to You)". Her sixth album, Close, was released in 1988 and featured the hit single "Four Letter Word".

Kim Wilde has released a total of twelve studio albums over the course of her career. She has also collaborated with a number of other artists, including Nena, Michael Jackson, and Soft Cell.

An interesting fact about Kim Wilde is that she is the niece of legendary British singer Marty Wilde, who had a string of hits in the 1950s and 1960s.
