Lovich released her second album, Flex, in 1980, which featured the singles "Say When" and "What Will I Do Without You?" The album peaked at number three on the UK Albums Chart.

Her third album, No Man's Land, was released in 1983 and featured the single "Blue Hotel." The album reached number six on the UK Albums Chart.
