Manfred Mann was a British beat, R&B and pop band formed in London in 1962, originally comprising Manfred Mann (organ and keyboards), Mike d'Abo (vocals), Dave Richmond (bass), Tom McGuinness (guitar) and Mike Hugg (drums). They had a string of hits in the 1960s, including the UK number one singles "Do Wah Diddy Diddy" and "Mighty Quinn".

The band had three standout albums in the 1960s: "The Five Faces of Manfred Mann" (1964), "The Manfred Mann Album" (1965) and "As Is" (1966). These albums featured some of the group's most popular songs, such as "Do Wah Diddy Diddy", "Pretty Flamingo", "My Name Is Jack" and "Ha Ha Said The Clown".

An interesting fact about Manfred Mann is that they had two different lead singers. After Mike d'Abo left in 1966, Paul Jones took over as lead singer and sang on the band's biggest hits of the late 1960s, such as "Fox on the Run" and "Mighty Quinn".
