Martha Argerich

Martha Argerich is an Argentinian classical pianist who has been performing and recording since the 1960s. She is known for her passionate and explosive playing style, as well as her intense interpretations of classical works. She has released over 50 albums, including numerous solo albums and recordings with other great musicians.

Some of her standout albums include her 1981 recording of Robert Schumann's Piano Concerto with Claudio Abbado and the Berlin Philharmonic, as well as her 2005 album with Gidon Kremer, Argerich & Kremer: Live from the Lugano Festival. Other noteworthy albums include her 1998 recording of the Beethoven Piano Sonatas, her 2016 release of the Beethoven Triple Concerto, and her 2002 album of works by Chopin, which won the Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Soloist Performance.
