Models is an Australian rock band that was formed in Melbourne in 1978 by Sean Kelly (guitar/vocals), Andrew Duffield (keyboards/vocals), James Freud (bass/vocals) and Bart Willoughby (drums). The band is considered one of the pioneers of the post-punk movement in Australia, combining the energy of punk rock with more experimental elements.

Their debut album, Cut Lunch, was released in 1981 and spawned the hit single, "Barbados". This single was the first Australian new wave song to enter the top ten on the national charts, and it helped launch the band's career. The album also featured the song "Out of Mind, Out of Sight", which was later covered by Cyndi Lauper for her album She's So Unusual.

The band's follow-up album, Local &/or General, was released in 1983 and featured the single "Big On Love". This album was even more successful than the first, and it was certified gold in Australia.

Models' third and final studio album, Models' Media, was released in 1984 and was their most successful release. It featured the hit singles "Two People Per Room" and "Evolution", both of which became top ten hits in Australia.

An interesting fact about Models is that, despite the band's success in their native Australia, they never achieved mainstream success outside of their home country. They remain popular in Australia to this day, however, and are considered to be one of the most influential bands of the post-punk era.
