Steppenwolf

Steppenwolf is a Canadian-American hard rock band that formed in 1967 in Los Angeles, California. The original members of the band included vocalist John Kay, drummer Jerry Edmonton, bassist Rushton Moreve, keyboardist Goldy McJohn and guitarist Michael Monarch. They are best known for their 1968 hit single “Born to be Wild”, which has been used in numerous films and television shows.

The band's debut album, Steppenwolf, was released in 1968 and featured the hit single "Born to be Wild". The album also included "The Pusher", "Sookie Sookie", and "Magic Carpet Ride". Their follow-up album, The Second, was released in 1969 and featured the hit single "Rock Me".
