Strange Tenants

Strange Tenants are an Australian ska/punk band from Melbourne, formed in 1993. They were formed by vocalist/guitarist Dom Mariani (The Stems, DM3, The Someloves) and keyboardist/accordionist Ashley Naylor (Even). The original lineup also featured drummer Peter Luscombe and bassist Paul Takagi.

The band released two albums, 'Crossfire' (1995) and 'Out of the Madness' (1996). The former album spawned the singles 'Gonna Come Out Fighting', 'My Heart's On Fire' and 'Do The Ska', all of which achieved considerable airplay on national radio.

The band's sound has been described as a mix of ska, punk and pop, and they have been cited as an influence by many contemporary Australian bands.

One interesting fact about Strange Tenants is that they have opened for some of the biggest acts in the music industry, including Blur, No Doubt and The Offspring.

Their most well-known songs include 'Gonna Come Out Fighting', 'My Heart's On Fire' and 'Do The Ska'.
