Stray Cats Vinyl Records

Stray Cats are a rockabilly band formed in 1979 in Massapequa, New York. The band's original lineup consisted of Brian Setzer on guitar and vocals, Lee Rocker on double bass and Slim Jim Phantom on drums. They rose to fame in the UK in the early 1980s, with the release of their self-titled debut album. The album featured the singles "Stray Cat Strut", "Rock This Town" and "Runaway Boys".

The band's second album, Gonna Ball, was released in 1981 and featured the hit single "Ubangi Stomp". The band's third album, Built for Speed, was released in 1982 and featured the hit single "Sexy + 17".

The band's most successful album was Rant n' Rave with the Stray Cats, released in 1983. The album featured the hit singles "Rock Therapy", "I Won't Stand in Your Way" and "Somethin' Else".

Stray Cats have released numerous compilations, live albums and EPs over the years, including the 1986 album Blast Off! which featured the single "Fishnet Stockings".

An interesting fact about Stray Cats is that they were one of the first bands to combine elements of rockabilly and punk rock, pioneering a style that would later become known as "psychobilly".
