50 Cent is a Grammy Award-winning American rapper, actor, entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist. He was born Curtis James Jackson III in South Jamaica, Queens, New York in 1975.

50 Cent rose to fame in 2002 after the release of his debut studio album Get Rich or Die Tryin’, which sold over 10 million copies worldwide. It was also certified 6x Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America. It featured hit singles such as “In Da Club”, “21 Questions” and “P.I.M.P.”

In 2003, 50 Cent released his second studio album The Massacre. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified 5x Platinum by the RIAA. It featured the hit singles “Candy Shop”, “Disco Inferno” and “Just a Lil Bit”.

50 Cent’s third studio album Curtis was released in 2007. It debuted at number two on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified 3x Platinum by the RIAA. It featured the hit singles “I Get Money” and “Ayo Technology”.

50 Cent’s fourth studio album Before I Self Destruct was released in 2009. It debuted at number five on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified Gold by the RIAA. It featured the hit singles “Baby By Me” and “Do You Think About Me”.

50 Cent has also released five mixtapes, five compilation albums and an EP.

An interesting fact about 50 Cent is that he was the first artist to have four songs from the same album enter the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the same week.
