Cumbia

Cumbia is a popular Latin American music and dance style originating from Colombia. It is a blend of Spanish and African influences, combining the sounds of drums, maracas, and guacharaca (a wooden percussion instrument) with rhythms derived from Afro-Caribbean dances. Cumbia originated in the Caribbean coast of Colombia during the 16th century, and it has since spread to other Latin American countries, including Mexico, Peru, Chile, and Argentina. It has also been incorporated into many styles of modern music, such as Salsa, Merengue, and Reggaeton.
