Jimmy Barnes is an Australian rock musician and singer-songwriter. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and migrated to Australia with his family when he was six years old. Barnes has been performing music since the early 1970s and rose to fame as the lead singer of the rock band Cold Chisel. He has released twenty solo studio albums, three of which peaked at number one on the ARIA Albums Chart.

Some of Barnes' standout albums include his 1985 solo debut album Bodyswerve, which featured the hit singles "No Second Prize" and "Too Much Ain't Enough Love", and his 1987 album Freight Train Heart, which featured the hit singles "Working Class Man" and "Waitin' for the Heartache". Other notable albums include 1990's Two Fires, 1992's Soul Deep, and 2009's Rage and Ruin.

Some of Barnes' most popular songs include "Working Class Man", "When Your Love is Gone", "Ride the Night Away", "Flame Trees", and "Lay Down Your Guns".

An interesting fact about Barnes is that he is a two-time ARIA Hall of Fame inductee, inducted as a member of Cold Chisel in 1993 and as a solo artist in 2005.
