John Denver

John Denver (born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr.) was an American singer-songwriter, actor, and humanitarian. He was one of the most popular acoustic artists of the 1970s, recording and releasing a string of hit songs, such as "Take Me Home, Country Roads," "Rocky Mountain High," "Sunshine on My Shoulders," and "Annie's Song." He was also well-known for his love of nature, which was often reflected in his music.

John Denver released his debut album, Rhymes & Reasons, in 1969. His second album, Poems, Prayers, and Promises, was released in 1971 and was certified gold. His other notable albums include Back Home Again (1974), Windsong (1975), and An Evening with John Denver (1975).

His most popular songs include "Take Me Home, Country Roads," "Rocky Mountain High," "Sunshine on My Shoulders," "Annie's Song," "Calypso," "Fly Away," "Leaving on a Jet Plane," "Thank God I'm a Country Boy," and "Back Home Again."
