New Order Vinyl Records

New Order is an English rock band formed in 1980 by the remaining members of Joy Division following the death of lead singer Ian Curtis. The band's core members were Bernard Sumner, Peter Hook, and Stephen Morris, who were joined by Gillian Gilbert in 1981. New Order gained critical and commercial success in the early 1980s and achieved their first UK number one album in 1985 with Low-Life.

Their standout albums include Movement (1981), Power, Corruption & Lies (1983), Low-Life (1985) and Technique (1989). Their most successful songs include “Blue Monday”, “Bizarre Love Triangle”, “True Faith” and “Regret”.

An interesting fact about New Order is that they were one of the first bands to embrace the use of the synthesizer and electronic dance music in their music. They were also the first band to be signed to the Factory Records label and released the first single from the label, “Ceremony”.
