OC Smith (born October 10, 1932) is an American singer and songwriter. He is best known for his 1968 hit single "Little Green Apples".

Smith's first album was "Hickory Holler Revisited", released in 1968. The title track was his first major hit single, and it was also a top 10 hit in the UK. He also released two other albums during the late 1960s, "From the Heart" and "Friends and Strangers".

Smith's most successful album was "The Son of Hickory Holler's Tramp" in 1968, which featured his signature hit "Little Green Apples". The song peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and won Smith a Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Vocal Performance, Male. Other notable singles from this album include "The Red Roses of Passion" and "Hickory Holler Revisited".

In addition to his own albums, Smith has also recorded several duets with other artists, including "What The World Needs Now Is Love" with Jackie DeShannon, "The Last Time I Saw Her" with Tony Bennett, and "I Just Can't Help Believing" with Elvis Presley.

An interesting fact about OC Smith is that he was one of the first black artists to appear on the TV show "Hullabaloo".
