Peter Frampton is an English singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and actor who rose to fame in the mid-1970s. He is best known for his work with the bands Humble Pie and the Peter Frampton Band.

Frampton's first commercial success was with the band Humble Pie, a hard rock group he joined in 1969. Their albums, Rock On and Performance: Rockin' the Fillmore, were both successful and featured the hit single "30 Days in the Hole".

His solo career began in 1971 with the release of Wind of Change, which spawned the hit single "Show Me the Way". His breakout album was 1976's Frampton Comes Alive!, a double live album which featured his signature song "Baby, I Love Your Way" and the hit "Do You Feel Like We Do". The album was a huge success, spending 10 weeks at the top of the Billboard album chart and becoming one of the top-selling live albums of all time.

Other albums of note include I'm in You (1977), Where I Should Be (1979) and Frampton (1994).

An interesting fact about Peter Frampton is that he was the first artist to be featured on MTV's Unplugged series in 1989. He released an album of the same name, which included the hit single "The First Cut Is the Deepest".
