  • In 1967 Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood and John Mcvie played in the legendary band JOHN MAYALL & THE BLUES BREAKERS and recorded five songs in a free studio time together Songs in the studio. Peter Green was so convinced of the musical abilities of his two band colleagues that he spontaneously that he spontaneously formed a new band with them and named it after the drummer and bassist Bass player. John McVie was not immediately convinced by the project, so that his colleagues replaced him with Bob Burning. Nevertheless, after a short time John McVie left JOHN MAYALL to stay with FLEETWOOD MAC.

The rest is history. "Fleetwood Mac," the self-titled debut album, was released in 1968 and was a highlight of the late British Blues movement, peaking at # 4 in the UK album charts, without a single being produced and stayed there for 37 weeks. It was a traditional Blues album, but one that showcased Peter Green's burgeoning songwriting and vocal skills showcased. "I Love a Woman" paved the way for "Black Magic Woman," while "Looking For Somebody" showcases a mix of humor and vulnerability. Now the album is reappearing by high demand back on vinyl after some 35 years.
