He moved to Los Angeles in 1961, where he composed film scores for movies such as The Pawnbroker and In the Heat of the Night.

Throughout his career, Jones has produced a large number of albums, many of which have become classics. His most successful album is 1982’s Thriller, which was produced for Michael Jackson and sold over 65 million copies worldwide. Other standout albums include The Dude (1981), Back on the Block (1989), and Q’s Jook Joint (1995).

Jones has composed a variety of hit songs, including “Ai No Corrida” (1981), “The Secret Garden (Sweet Seduction Suite)” (1989), and “Tomorrow (A Better You, Better Me)” (1990).

An interesting fact about Quincy Jones is that he has won 27 Grammy Awards, making him the most-awarded living recipient. He also holds the Guinness World Record for the most Grammy nominations, with a total of 79.
