Rhythmic Noise
Rhythmic Noise is a style of electronic music that combines elements of industrial, ambient, and noise music. It often has a strong beat, often provided by drum machines or synthesized percussion, and incorporates samples, distorted sounds, and other sonic textures. It is typically aggressive and fast-paced, and often incorporates elements of breakbeat and techno.
The genre originated in the late 1980s and early 1990s, when artists such as Skinny Puppy, :Wumpscut:, and Hocico began combining industrial and techno music. It became more popular in the mid-1990s and early 2000s, with the rise of DJs and producers such as Venetian Snares, Rusko, and Hellfish.
Rhythmic Noise has continued to evolve, with artists such as Subheim, Bunker 8, and Hecq creating their own unique takes on the genre. It has also been incorporated into other genres, such as dubstep, drum and bass, and EDM.
