Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever
Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever is an indie rock band from Melbourne, Australia. Formed in 2013, the band is composed of guitarists/vocalists Fran Keaney, Tom Russo and Joe White, bassist Joe Russo and drummer Marcel Tussie.
Their debut album, Hope Downs, was released in 2018 to critical acclaim. It features songs such as “Talking Straight” and “Mainland”, which have become fan favorites. The album was nominated for the 2019 ARIA Music Award for Best Rock Album.
The band’s follow-up album, Sideways to New Italy, was released in 2020. It features the popular singles “Cars in Space” and “Falling Thunder”. The album was nominated for the 2020 ARIA Music Award for Best Rock Album and Album of the Year.
An interesting fact about the band is that their name was inspired by the Rolling Stones song “Gimme Shelter”.
