Steve Hillage Vinyl Records

Steve Hillage is an English musician and songwriter best known for his work in the progressive rock and space rock genres. He is a former member of Gong and Khan, as well as a solo artist. Hillage began his career in the late 1960s playing guitar for the Canterbury Scene progressive rock band Khan before joining Gong in 1972. He left Gong to focus on his solo career, releasing his debut album, Fish Rising, in 1975.

Hillage's standout albums include Fish Rising (1975), L (1976), Green (1978), Open (1979), and Motivation Radio (1982). Notable songs include "Hurdy Gurdy Glissando," "Solar Musick Suite," "Sea Nature," and "The Salmon Song."

An interesting fact about Steve Hillage is that he has been a staunch proponent of environmentalism and renewable energy sources since the 1970s, and in 1983 he co-founded the band System 7 with Miquette Giraudy to explore the potential of electronic dance music.
