Styx

Styx is an American rock band that formed in Chicago, Illinois in 1972. The original lineup consisted of Dennis DeYoung (vocals, keyboards), Chuck and John Panozzo (bass and drums, respectively), James “JY” Young (guitar and vocals), and John Curulewski (guitar and vocals).

The band’s most successful albums are The Grand Illusion (1977), Pieces of Eight (1978), and Paradise Theater (1981). Their most popular songs include “Lady,” “Come Sail Away,” “Too Much Time on My Hands,” and “Mr. Roboto.”

An interesting fact about Styx is that their first five albums all sold at least a million copies. They are the only band in history to have four consecutive albums reach platinum status.
