The band is comprised of Tom Johnston (vocals, guitar), Patrick Simmons (vocals, guitar), Michael McDonald (vocals, keyboards), John McFee (vocals, guitar, steel guitar), Tiran Porter (vocals, bass), and Keith Knudsen (drums, percussion, vocals).

The Doobie Brothers have released thirteen studio albums and have sold over 40 million records worldwide. Their most successful albums include Toulouse Street (1972), The Captain and Me (1973), What Were Once Vices Are Now Habits (1974), Stampede (1975), Minute by Minute (1978), and Cycles (1989).

The band's biggest singles include "Listen to the Music," "Long Train Runnin'," "China Grove," and "Black Water," all of which have been certified gold.
