The Easybeats Vinyl Records

The Easybeats were an Australian rock band formed in Sydney in 1964. They are widely regarded as one of the most important and influential Australian rock acts of the 1960s. The band consisted of lead vocalist Stevie Wright, lead guitarist George Young, rhythm guitarist Harry Vanda, bass guitarist Dick Diamonde, and drummer Snowy Fleet.

The Easybeats achieved national and international fame and are best known for their 1966 hit single “Friday on My Mind”. It reached No. 1 in Australia, No. 16 in the United Kingdom, and No. 5 in the United States. Their 1967 album, Good Friday, was also a success, reaching No. 1 in Australia and No. 7 in the UK. Other popular singles include "She's So Fine" (1965), "Wedding Ring" (1966), "Sorry" (1966), and "Good Times" (1967).

The Easybeats disbanded in 1969, but reunited for a one-off performance in 1987 for the Australian television show Countdown.

An interesting fact about The Easybeats is that they were the first Australian rock band to achieve international success. In addition, their song “Friday on My Mind” was covered by David Bowie and has been covered by numerous other artists over the years.
