The Jordanaires Vinyl Records

The Jordanaires were an American vocal quartet formed in 1948. They are best known for providing background vocals for Elvis Presley from 1956 to 1972. They were also known for singing the theme song for The Andy Griffith Show.

The Jordanaires had several popular albums in the 1950s and 1960s. These included Singing the Gospel (1956), Rockin' and Singin' the Gospel (1958), His Hand in Mine (1960), and Elvis' Golden Records (1958).

The group had many popular singles, including "Oh, Happy Day" (1956), "I'm Saved" (1956), and "Peace in the Valley" (1960). They also provided backing vocals on Elvis Presley songs such as "Are You Lonesome Tonight?" (1960) and "Crying in the Chapel" (1965).

An interesting fact about the Jordanaires is that they were the first gospel quartet to appear on the Grand Ole Opry. They performed in the Opry for over 40 years, and were inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001.
