The Seekers

The Seekers are an iconic Australian folk/pop group formed in Melbourne in 1962. They are best known for their hits ‘I’ll Never Find Another You’, ‘A World of Our Own’ and ‘The Carnival Is Over’, as well as their album A World of Our Own (1965). The group consists of Judith Durham (lead vocals), Athol Guy (bass guitar), Keith Potger (12-string guitar) and Bruce Woodley (guitar, banjo and mandolin).

The Seekers are one of the most successful Australian bands of all time, and have sold over 50 million records worldwide. Their albums include The Seekers (1965), Come the Day (1966), Georgy Girl (1966), The Seekers 25th Anniversary Album (1989) and Future Road (1996).

The Seekers have received several awards, including being inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 1991, and being named the Australian Recording Industry Association's ‘Best Group of All Time’ in 1997.

An interesting fact about The Seekers is that their song ‘I’ll Never Find Another You’ was the first single to be certified gold in Australia.
