Wings was a British rock band formed in 1971 by Paul McCartney and his wife Linda. Originally known as Paul McCartney and Wings, the band featured McCartney, Linda, and guitarist Denny Laine, who were all former members of The Beatles. The band went through several line-up changes during its ten-year lifespan, with its most successful line-up featuring McCartney, Laine, guitarist Jimmy McCulloch, and drummer Joe English.

Wings released nine studio albums, the most successful of which was their 1973 album, Band on the Run. The album spawned the singles "Jet," "Band on the Run," and "Helen Wheels," all of which charted in the US and UK. Other notable albums include Red Rose Speedway (1973), Venus and Mars (1975), and London Town (1978).

Wings had several hit singles, including "My Love," "Live and Let Die," "Silly Love Songs," and "With a Little Luck."

An interesting fact about Wings is that they were the first rock band to perform in Russia, in 1973. The band played to an audience of more than 100,000 people.
