Disraeli Gears is the album where Cream fully turned blues-rock into psychedelia, sharpening their heavy riffs and improvisation into something brighter, stranger and more immediate. Released in 1967, the group’s second album paired Eric Clapton’s guitar with Jack Bruce’s melodic bass and vocals, and Ginger Baker’s muscular drumming, while producer Felix Pappalardi helped shape its bold, vivid sound.
