  • POP is generally regarded as the GAS album on which Wolfgang Voigt took the listener to a small clearing in the middle of his impenetrable, psychedelic forest. Originally released in 2000 on the legendary Frankfurt label Mille Plateaux, POP is considered a milestone in the history of GAS, attracting great international attention. The renowned American music magazine Pitchfork called POP "an exercise in sonic textures ... pure, acoustic velvet; densely layered drones that emanate a warmth you can actually feel".

    POP - the album that is considered the defining moment in which Wolfgang Voigt led us into a clearing of his deep, psychedelic forest. POP, a groundbreaking release in the GAS odyssey that garnered international attention, was originally released in 2000 on the legendary Frankfurt label Mille Plateux.

    POP was reissued in 2016 as part of the GAS "BOX" (now out of print) and finally POP is now released on Kompakt - for the first time on 180 gram 3xLP.
