    In 2021, Mayer released the first official single called "Last Train Home", which clearly sounds inspired by the sound of the 1980s. Comparisons to bands like Toto, Fleetwood Mac, Dire Straits and Phil Collins are no coincidence. The accompanying video with vintage aesthetics and the album cover of "Sob Rock" complete the overall 80s picture.

    The fact that Mayer plays a pink "PRS Silver Sky" guitar in the video has already led to initial speculation among enthusiasts that the signature guitar could soon be available in the eye-catching new finish. However, this has not yet been confirmed
