  • "Low Symphony," produced by PHILIP GLASS in spring 1992, based on the album "Low" by David Bowie and Brian eno, which originally appeared in 1977.

GLASS adopted three themes from instrumental tracks on the original, combined them with his own material and used it as the foundation of the three movements of "Low Symphony." Movement one comes from the song "Subterraneans", set two from "Some Are" (which was not appeared on the original recording by BOWIE) and set three from "Warszawa".

The "Low Symphony" has been approved by the Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Dennis Russel Davies as principal conductor and Karen Kamensek as an assistant. PHILIP GLASS allowed himself through ideas from BOWIE and ENO, which together have been to be influenced by the way he worked on Music worked - resulting in surprising musical Results and a real collaboration between that evoked the music of all three maestros.
