  • Prince Rama have already won the cover of the year award. In the style of trashy K-tell compilations from the 80s, the duo from Brooklyn present their "Top Ten Hits Of The End Of The World". For this, the sisters Taraka and Nimai Larson invented ten pop groups, all of which perished in the apocalypse, but whose ghosts live on. A collection of songs encompassing genre and style, which above all clarifies the relationship between pop music and the themes of memory, nostalgia and the world of ghosts.

    Whether cosmic disco music, motorcycle rock, new wave, grunge, tribal goth or Arab pop - Prince Rama look through the broken optics of a post-apocalyptic future at the sound wonders of the past.

    "Top Ten Hits Of The End Of The World" is a kind of retrospective requiem for all pop albums that have ever been made.
    The artist duo was discovered in 2010 by Avey Tare (Animal Collective), and two albums had previously been released on the Paw Tracks label that actually made it into the top ten of the Billboard New Age charts.
