Rowland S. Howard – Pop Crimes

"Pop Crimes" is the second and last solo album of the Australian musician and punk rock pioneer, who played with Nick Cave in the band The Birthday Party, among others. It was originally released in 2009 and Howard died a few months later, on 30 December.

The album was recorded at Birdland Studios in Melbourne. Howard's long-time colleague and collaborator Mick Harvey played drums and organ, J. P. Shilo (John Brooks) contributed guitar, violin and bass parts. Further guest contributions were made by Brian Hooper (bass), Sean Stewart (bass) and Jonnine Standish (vocals). Lindsay Gravina was again responsible for the production.
