Altın Gün (Golden Day) is a Turkish-Dutch psychedelic folk band formed in Amsterdam in 2017. The band consists of Merve Dasdemir (vocals, percussion, saz), Jasper Verhulst (bass, backing vocals), Zeno van den Broek (guitar, backing vocals), and Jacco Gardner (drums, backing vocals). The band's sound is rooted in Anatolian folk and psychedelia, blending traditional folk songs with modern, psychedelic arrangements. They have released two full-length albums, On (2018) and Gece (2020), as well as several EPs and singles. Notable songs from Altın Gün include "Goca Dünya" and "Süpürgesi Yoncadan" from their debut album On, and "Kırılmadı Kalbin" from their sophomore album Gece. An interesting fact about Altın Gün is that their music has been featured in the Netflix series Sex Education.
