Big Star – #1 Record

Strongly influenced by the sound of the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and the Byrds, they are still considered the unofficial founders of alternative and indie rock today. Musicians and bands like Beck, Garbage, The Bangles, Nada Surf, The Replacements and many more. covered their songs and paid tribute to them personally - with songs like "September Gurls", "Blue Moon", "Kangaroo" and "Thirteen".

The Rolling Stone magazine chose their first two albums "No 1 Record" from 1972 and "Radio City" from 1973 already several times into the list of the 500 most important albums of all times and called Big Star one of the mythist and most influential cult bands of the whole Rock'n'Roll scene.
