  • After the much-acclaimed sampler “We Out Here” from the young jazz scene in London, now with “Sunny Side Up” we look to Melbourne, Australia, where an independent jazz-soul underground is currently brewing.

    The recordings were made in The Grove Studio, operated by sound engineer Nick Herrera and two members of the soul gangster crew Hiatus Kaiyote, under the musical direction of producer and multi-instrumentalist Silentjay (known for his collaborations with Joey Bada$$ and Flying Lotus).

    The 9 tracks reflect the current status of the local jazz scene with influences from house, broken beat, samba, p-funk and soul.
