Bill Frisell is an American jazz guitarist, composer, and arranger. He began playing the guitar at age 8 and went on to study classical and jazz music at the University of Northern Colorado. He has worked in a variety of musical styles, including jazz, rock, classical, and folk, and has collaborated with a wide range of musicians.

Frisell's most acclaimed albums include: Have a Little Faith (1993), This Land (1994), Nashville (1996), The Intercontinentals (2002), and Unspeakable (2004). His standout songs include "The Great Divide," "Ron Carter," and "What Do You Want."
