Dire Straits – Love Over Gold

At the time of the release of their fourth studio album Love Over Gold, the Dire Straits were no longer in financial distress due to their increasing success. Complemented by the new guitarist Hal Lindes, Mark Knopfler produced an album with only five tracks, which come along all the more ambitious and with overflowing sounds. With the 14-minute opening title Telegraph Road, Knopfler creates a thrilling experience that can be carried over long instrumental passages.
