Boards Of Canada Vinyl Records

Boards of Canada is an electronic music duo from Scotland consisting of brothers Michael Sandison and Marcus Eoin. They began making music together in 1986 and gained prominence in the early 2000s with their critically acclaimed albums Music Has the Right to Children, Geogaddi, and The Campfire Headphase. Their music is characterized by layered and lush soundscapes, combining elements of ambient, hip hop, and electronica.

The duo’s most acclaimed albums include Music Has the Right to Children (1998) and Geogaddi (2002). Music Has the Right to Children features some of the duo’s most beloved songs such as “Roygbiv”, “Aquarius” and “Olson”. Geogaddi is widely considered to be their masterpiece and includes the singles “Dayvan Cowboy” and “Reach for the Dead”. Their most recent album, The Campfire Headphase (2005) features the tracks “Sherbet Head” and “Dayvan Cowboy”.

An interesting fact about Boards of Canada is that they have a penchant for secrecy, often releasing very little information about their albums and rarely doing interviews. They also employ a variety of techniques to obscure the origin of their samples, such as cutting them off at random points and reversing them.
