Boogaloo
Boogaloo is a Latin-American fusion genre of music that emerged in New York City during the 1960s. It was initially a blend of rhythm and blues, soul, and Latin music, but later incorporated elements of funk and jazz. It was the precursor to Latin-American disco and salsa music. The genre was popularized by groups like Joe Cuba Sextet, who blended Latin and African-American music together in a unique and highly danceable way.
