Caravan

Caravan is an English progressive rock band that formed in 1968 and is often credited as one of the founding bands of the genre. They released their debut album, Caravan, in 1968 and followed it up with the highly acclaimed In the Land of Grey and Pink in 1971. Some of their most notable songs include "Golf Girl", "Winter Wine", "Love Song with Flute", and "Nine Feet Underground".

In addition to their studio albums, Caravan also released a number of live albums, compilations, and singles. Notable live albums include Live at the Fairfield Halls (1973) and Caravan & The New Symphonia (1974).

An interesting fact about Caravan is that they were the first band to be signed to the newly-formed label, Virgin Records, in 1973. This deal resulted in the release of their album For Girls Who Grow Plump in the Night.
