Carole King is an American singer-songwriter who has achieved success in the music industry for over five decades. She is one of the most successful female artists of all time and is best known for her album Tapestry (1971), which became one of the best-selling albums of all time and earned her four Grammy Awards. Some of her other standout albums include Writer (1970), Music (1971), Fantasy (1973), Thoroughbred (1976), Simple Things (1977), and Pearls (1980).
Carole King's most popular songs include "It's Too Late," "I Feel the Earth Move," "So Far Away," "You've Got a Friend," "Jazzman," and "Will You Love Me Tomorrow." She has also written and co-written many songs for other artists, including "The Loco-Motion," "One Fine Day," "You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman," and "Up on the Roof."
An interesting fact about Carole King is that she was the first woman to be inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1987. She is also the only songwriter to have had four number one hits in the same year (1971).
