Crystal Gayle is an American country music singer who has been performing since the 1970s. She is best known for her long blonde hair, which inspired her stage name. She is the younger sister of country music legend Loretta Lynn.

Crystal Gayle's breakthrough album was 1977's We Must Believe in Magic, which included the hit singles "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue" and "Talking in Your Sleep." The album was certified Platinum and earned her a Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance. Other popular albums include Crystal (1978), Miss the Mississippi and You (1980), True Love (1981), and Cage the Songbird (1987).

Her other hit singles include "I'll Get Over You," "You Never Gave Up on Me," and "Half the Way." She has won numerous awards throughout her career, including the Academy of Country Music's Top Female Vocalist of the Year award and the Country Music Association's Female Vocalist of the Year award.
