To make it to album number three, a group must make a convincing debut and then avoid the slump on the second album. Then, when you reach the third record, they should be professionals. So the legend goes, but doesn't De Lux say that.
After the albums "Voyager" (2014) and "Generation" (2015), the Los Angeles duo now comes with its third and best album, "More Disco Songs About Love," on the versatile Innovative Leisure label from L.A., home of BADBADNOTGOOD, Nick Waterhouse and Allah Lahs.
The difference between the records? According to De Lux, "Voyage was our 'baby,' 'Generation' was too, but bigger now, and on 'More Disco Songs...' it's thinking growing up is dumb and just wanting to party."
For fans of Talking Heads, Classixx, Television, LCD Soundsystem, Poolside, New Order and Neon Indian.
