Daft Punk's second album, recorded between 1998 and 2000, marked a shift from the Chicago house sound prevalent on their first studio album, Homework (1997), to a house style more inspired by disco, post-disco, garage house and R&BCritics praised Daft Punk for innovating the house music scene in the same way they had with Homework.
