Icelandic pop/classical musician Ólafur Arnalds already impressed with his projects "For Now I Am Winter" and "The Chopin Project" with pianist Alice Sara Ott, and now the multi-instrumentalist and composer is embarking on a unique musical voyage of discovery across his homeland of Iceland for his new album "Iceland Songs".Over the course of seven weeks, Ólafur Arnalds recorded a track at each of seven different locations on the rugged volcanic island with a wide variety of local musicians and artists, inspired and influenced by the regional characteristics. His moving journey brought him together with musical companions such as Of Monsters And Men frontwoman Nanna Bryndís Hilmarsdóttir or poet Einar Georg Einarsson, among others.
